Crazy Modern/Retro Bed

This is a super modern/ retro bed!

I am not sure if I would use this for our house but it very fascinating.  I can't imagine how long it took to make this design.  I love the tables and book shelf behind the bed.

That would be really neat to design something so artistic. Have a happy Wednesday. bw

New Camera!!!

I just recently got the Nikon 7000 camera and I love it.  There is so much to learn, but it's totally worth taking time to learn.  I have been doing photo's on the side for a little while for friends and family.  I have always loved it ever since my photo classes in high school.  College classes were mainly black and white courses, so not a lot with digital. I bought a 50mm/1.8 lens for my older camera, but it didn't allow me to use the auto focus and I had to do everything manual....with Nolan moving around all the time....very difficult.  Now, the newer camera corresponds with the auto focus on my lens and it's been fun exploring it's abilities.  For those whom may not work with camera's, the 50mm allows for more blurred background and sharper foreground.  So many new possibilities.

So..........anyone who wants any family, baby, or senior photo's or anything for the matter, let me know.  I would love to give my new camera some attention.

Here are some samples of my new camera and lens.

Have a wonderful week and enjoy the evening.

DIY kids kitchen

I absolutely love these ideas.  Why would you not try to do this if you have the opportunity?  I am tempted to try and do this and make Nolan a kitchen and/or workbench area.  Yes, boys can play with pots and pans too; but probably start with a worktable area for his tools.  I feel like you can't get the same thing from a store because of the character in the legs and ornate details from the older furniture.

I just love these ideas and hope that it is
inspiring for you as well. bw

Beautiful Decorative Chairs

I think that it's pretty difficult to find side chairs that make the true checklist.  Meaning comfort, style, size, price, and how long will it stay in style.  I love leather chairs as side decor because they are not too feminine, easy clean up with kids, and the fabric will stay in style longer.

Here are some more chairs by Dwell Studio

Keep your eye out for the lines/structure of these chairs because you can find the body at thrift stores or flea market and reupholster them yourself...or pay someone to do it for you. It will still be cheaper than buying these brand new.  bw

Longing for Long Hair Again

I was looking on Pinetrest and spotted this adorable cascading braid.  Even though long hair can be painful at times and be somewhat annoying...I can hardly wait to grow my hair back out to try out these styles.

Poster Cabaret

Love these prints from Poster Cabaret.  The artist is Blanca Gomez.  These prints would look really cute in old ornate frames or sleek modern white frames in a nursery or child's room.

Kind of pricey for a print, but I think that it's also important to support the artist as well.  bw
