I finally got the energy to make little Tom Sawyer pants
like I said I was going to do after the knickers(Post ).
Nolan is sleeping so I haven't done the final fitting.
Hope they fit and here's a peak.

Fun with Friends

I can't believe that weather right now.
It's so beautiful and feels great.  We've had a little friend from church with us this week and the boys have had a blast.  It's been wonderful watching them play together and learn new things.
Everyday has been a sharing day for the two of them.
We are working on sharing cheerios, toys, books, and all the other important things in their lives.

Here is a cute little blurb of our morning.

Works of art by Matte Stephens

Found this art work and thought it was very creative.
I like the simplicity he uses along with his humor.
He tends to use events and places for
inspiration in everyday situations in his work.
Here are some favorites.

Random Ramblings

One of my favorite times of the year is here. I am happily and not ashamed to announce that I am an OZARK EMPIRE FAIR junky. I love almost everything about the fair.  It's almost as if I don't even realize it because I am with my fair junky friends.  Lets just say we've been going all out for a feeww years now and we love it.

I had my usual corn dog and root beer in a jug.  Along with an endless supply of rides.  Some feel that rides that can be set up in a day are not safe. As for me, I just believe that any ride that can come to Springfield and I don't have to go to it is perfect.  The faster they get put up the quicker I can ride and the cheaper the ticket!> I love six flags but a little pricey.  I am a fan of our Silver Dollar City in Branson.  It's all just a chance for me to be a kid again. I can't wait until next year to do it all over again. As for the rest of my week it's been pretty relaxing.  It's been the hottest week of the year so, going outside hasn't been happening as frequently as preferred.
I thought today would be a great day to post on the ramblings in my mind shown through photos.  Enjoy!

Think.Design.Cut.Sew.

Vintage inspired overalls made from Derek's old and comfy dress shirt.  The material is super soft and breezy.  Wish I had a pair.
Hope no one looks too close. I am not great at the detailed work, but it's fun to design clothes for Nolan.

Have a wonderful night!bw

Nature cures an anxious mind!

It's always great hanging out at my in-laws.  They live in the country with a beautiful lot in a old, yet restored house.  Nolan and I went out there for the day and went swimming with my sis-in-laws and mother-in-law. Derek came out after work
and we all had a yummy dinner.
It's so beautiful out there.  It's very easy to get caught up in the worldly attractions when you live in the city right next to shopping, restaurants, theaters, etc.  Every time we are out at my in-laws everything just seems to slow down and relax.  Love it.  I was able to snap a few shots of the tree house that my father-in-law built.  Derek and him worked together to create a great little outdoor space for kids and grown-ups!  It's still in the process on a few things, but it looks great and I can't wait to see Nolan and other kiddos running around someday playing in it.

Much of this tree house was made with restored wood, windows, and doors.

outside looking in
The walls are so cool!
Back door with zip-line to exit. Yep. A real zip-line!

Amazing large windows.
On our ride home we stopped by a neighbor's lot and took a couple photo's of the cow's....really to hear Nolan "MOOOOOO"
over and over and over.

Hope you all enjoyed your Monday and the tree house.  bw
